My 60 Day Quilting Samples Challenge Reboot

My 60 Day Quilting Samples Challenge Reboot

Posted by Suzanne Bates on

Sometimes you start at the wrong time. Sometimes you take on too much. Sometimes you don't have proper parameters in place. AND sometimes all of the above leads to the need for a Challenge Reboot. This time, I'm ready to correct my errors, and make some progress on this quilting challenge.

New Challenge, new rules:

30 days - defined by days, and not needing to be consecutive. I'm planning for one 12x12 quilted sample a week. If I do two a week, that's awesome.

Pick a theme - this can be shapes, like squares, circles, triangles, or inspiration from subject matter. Flowers, garden, nature, hand stitched, is what comes to mind, but I'll state it and stick to it for at least 5 of the layouts. That will give me enough time and space for exploration.

Pick a color palette - can be pastels, black and white, neutrals, three colors, complements, primary. And maybe color may be part of a theme. I'll see how that goes.

Whatever the parameters, my goal is to be able to learn from the process, which is the whole point of this exercise.

Just to kick things off. Stripes!
